Stephen Ooi Boon Ewe (simplified Chinese: 黄文优; traditional Chinese: 黃文優; pinyin: Huáng Wén Yōu; born 14 November 1941) is a Singaporean politician and a perennial candidate. He is most notable for attempting to contest various elections, general and presidential, without a record of success. He went to compete for 1999 Singaporean presidential election, 2005 Singaporean presidential election, 2011 Singaporean presidential election & 2017 Singaporean presidential election but his applications for the Certificate of Eligibility was rejected due to various reasons, such as not finding assentors to sponsor him, and incomplete nomination forms.
