The Liberation Army of South Vietnam (LASV, Vietnamese: Quân Giải phóng miền Nam Việt Nam, lit. 'Force to Liberate the South of Vietnam'), also known shortly as the Liberation Army (Vietnamese: Giải phóng quân / Quân Giải phóng, lit. 'the Liberators') was the military arm of National Liberation Front of South Vietnam established by the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1961 in South Vietnam.
