Leasowe (/ˈliːsoʊ/) is an area on the north coast of the Wirral Peninsula, in Merseyside, England, near Moreton and between Wallasey and Meols. Historically once within Cheshire (ceased to be in 1974), Leasowe was part of the old County Borough of Wallasey. It is now within the Leasowe and Moreton East Ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, as well as the Wallasey parliamentary constituency and the New Wallasey Regeneration programme. However, it also has its own characteristics and is often regarded as a separate town.
