| - The Conservative Party (Spanish: Partido Conservador, abbreviated as PC) was an Ecuadorian conservative party formed in 1869. Initially associated with the military of Ecuador the PC became one of the two great parties of state in the country, alternating in power with the Ecuadorian Radical Liberal Party. Its traditional support basis has been amongst the landowning classes, as well as merchants and artisans and it tended to favour a unitary structure rather than federalism. (en)

- Der Partido Conservador Ecuatoriano (dt. Ecuadorianische Konservative Partei) war eine der ältesten politischen Parteien Ecuadors. 1883 entstand die erste politische Organisation Ecuadors, die Unión Republicana, in welcher sich Anhänger der Ideen Gabriel García Morenos versammelten. Die Unión Republicana widersetzte sich als konservative Opposition – zu Zeiten auch gewalttätig – dem Liberalismus, vor allem zur Zeit Eloy Alfaros. In ihr fanden sich Politiker wie Antonio Flores Jijón, oder . Ihr Hauptrückhalt bestand aus den traditionellen Eliten (Großgrundbesitzer und Kirchenvertreter) vor allem der nördlichen Andenregion (Sierra) um die Hauptstadt Quito. (de)
