Castillo de Alcaudete is a castle in Alcaudete, in the province of Jaén, Spain. The castle was built by the Arabs over the remains of a previous Roman fortification and taken by the Christians in 1085 during the reign of Alfonso VI. For almost three hundred years thereafter, the castle kept changing hands until 1340 when the Christians took it over. The design is polygon in shape, adjusted to the terrain escarpments. The structure is surmounted by six towers, including the Tower of Homage, which has a door on the north side, guarded by two additional towers. The castle is restored and in good condition. It was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural monument in 1949.

El castillo fue construido por los árabes sobre los restos de una fortificación romana y fue tomado por los cristianos por primera vez en 1085 durante el reinado de Alfonso VI, aunque va a existir un período en el que el castillo va a estar cambiando de manos hasta que los cristianos lo toman definitivamente en 1240 con Fernando III. Cedido por este rey a la Orden de Calatrava que formaba sus propios monjes-soldado, fue de gran importancia al encontrarse durante muchos años entre la frontera del reino cristiano de Castilla y el reino nazarí de Granada. Continuó ampliándose sucesivamente hasta el siglo XVIII. (es)

Actualmente el castillo se encuentra abierto al público y es un espacio turístico-cultural que alberga el Centro de Interpretación sobre la vida de la Orden militar de Calatrava. El museo alberga información sobre la construcción del castillo en la frontera con el Reino Nazarí, la forma de vida y estructura interna de la Orden, los ingenios de guerra empleados para el asalto y defensa de la fortaleza.
