Texas won their third conference tournament and earned the Big 12 Conference's automatic bid to the 2003 NCAA Division I softball tournament. Texas, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Nebraska received bids to the NCAA tournament. Texas and Oklahoma would go on to play in the 2003 Women's College World Series.
