Islington North (/ˈɪzlɪŋtən nɔːθ/) is a constituency in Greater London represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1983 by Jeremy Corbyn. He served as Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of Her Majesty's Opposition from 2015 to 2020. Corbyn had the whip removed on 29 October 2020 and has subsequently sat as an Independent. He was readmitted to the Labour Party on 17 November 2020, but the whip has not been restored. The constituency was established for the 1885 general election.
