| - هِيْت مدينة عراقية تقع على الضفة الغربية من نهر الفرات إلى الشمال من مدينة الرمادي بمسافة 70 كم، وتبعد عن بغداد مسافة 190 كم، يبلغ عدد سكانها 75 ألف نسمة من عشائر العرب الاقحاح كالغساسنة والمحامدة والبونمر والكرابله والبوعساف والبو علي الجاسم والغرير وشمر والجغايفة والجواعنة والعبيد والعبادلة والسعدي والبو حيات والمناذرة والقيسيين والدواسر وغيرهم. أما سكان القضاء بأجمعه (أي مدينة هيت والنواحي والقرى التابعة لها) فيبلغ سكانها أكثر من 120 ألف نسمة، تعد من أهم مدن التاريخ الإنساني القديم، كانت من مدن المناذرة، يكثر في مدينة هيت بساتين النخيل والفاكهة وهي ذات خيرات واسعة. - Hīt (arabisch هيت; manchmal auch Heet geschrieben) ist eine irakische Stadt in der Provinz al-Anbar. Sie liegt etwa 40 Kilometer nordwestlich der Provinzhauptstadt Ramadi und hatte 2003 über 34.000 Einwohner. Hīt liegt am größten Strom Vorderasiens, dem Euphrat. Heute ist sie ein Zentrum landwirtschaftlicher Produktion und Standort mehrerer Pipelines, die hier den Fluss überqueren und zum Mittelmeer führen.
