Beteiligt waren 24 Mannschaften aus sechs Ländern. Das Finale fand am 23. Mai 2004 im Twickenham Stadium in London statt. - The 2003–04 Heineken Cup was the ninth season for which European teams competed for the Heineken Cup. Competing teams, from England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales, were divided into six pools of four, in which teams played home and away matches against each other. The winners of the pools, together with the two best runners-up, qualified for the knock-out stage.
* Four points for a win
* Two points for a draw
* One bonus point for scoring four or more tries, regardless of the final score
* One bonus point for losing by seven points or less (en)
- La temporada 2003-2004 de la Copa Heineken fue la 9.ª edición de la máxima competición continental del rugby europeo. En esta edición de nuevo fueron 24 los equipos participantes, divididos en 6 grupos de 4, para afrontar la primera fase de la competición, la fase de grupos. Tras las 6 jornadas correspondientes a esta primera fase, los primeros de cada grupo y los 2 mejores segundos se clasificaron para disputar los cuartos de final, a partidos único, las semifinales y la final.
