Graf zu Nassau, Vianden und Diez, Herr zu Breda), was graaf van Nassau-Siegen (een deel van het graafschap Nassau) en half Diez. Hij was korte tijd stadhouder van Gelre en Zutphen. Tijdens zijn regering begon de Katzenelnbogische Erbfolgestreit met de landgraven van Hessen, die pas 41 jaar na zijn overlijden werd beëindigd. Hij stamt uit de Ottoonse Linie van het Huis Nassau. - Count John V of Nassau-Siegen (9 November 1455 – 30 July 1516), German: Johann V. Graf von Nassau-Siegen, official titles: Graf zu Nassau, Vianden und Diez, Herr zu Breda, was since 1475 Count of Nassau-Siegen (a part of the County of Nassau) and of half Diez. He descended from the Ottonian Line of the House of Nassau. As a devout Catholic John founded a Franciscan monastery in Siegen. He also built a church in Hadamar, and in Dillenburg. (en)
