- The Astrophysical Journal, sovint abreujat ApJ, és una revista científica que cobreix desenvolupaments, descobriments i teories recents sobre astronomia i astrofísica. Va ser fundada el 1895 pels astrònoms George Ellery Hale i James Edward Keeler. Realitza tres publicacions per mes, amb 500 pàgines per publicació. Des de 1953, The Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series (abreujat ApJS) ha estat publicat en conjunció amb ApJ. El seu fi apunta a complementar el material de la revista. Actualment publica sis volums per any, amb 2 publicacions per volum i 280 pàgines per número. Astrophysical Journal Letters (abreujat ApJL) és la segona part d'APJ. Els seus articles foren de primer impresos de manera despaginada per la impremta de la Universitat de Chicago, a la seva pàgina electrònica d'alliberament ràpid d'articles. - المجلة الفيزيائية الفلكية هي مجلة دورية علمية مراجعة من قبل خبراء تغطي مجالي علم الفلك والفيزياء الفلكية. أسَّسها الفلكيَّان الأمريكيَّان جورج إليري هيل وجيمس إدوارد كيلر في سنة 1895. تنشر شهرياً ثلاثة أعداد بطول 500 صفحة. أصبحت تُنشَر سلسلة ملاحق المجلة الفيزيائية الفلكية منذ سنة 1953 مقترنة مع المجلة الفيزيائية الفلكية نفسها، والغرض منها هو تتمَّة مادة المجلة. تنشر المجلة ست مجلدات سنوياً، ويتألف كل مجلد من عددين ذوي 280 صفحة. كانت تنشر المجلة وسلسلة الملاحق كليهما للجمعية الفلكية الأمريكية لعقود، غير أن الناشر انتقلَ إلى في شهر يناير من سنة 2009، متبعة خطى المجلة الفلكية - التي تصدرها الجمعية نفسها -، والتي كانت قد انتقلت بدورها إلى المعهد في سنة 2008. وقد فسَّرت الجمعية سبب نقل صَلاحِيَة النشر بالتزايد المستمر للمبالغ المالية التي تطلبها صِحافة جامعة شيكاغو مقابل النشر. - Das Astrophysical Journal (ApJ) ist eine in den USA erscheinende Fachzeitschrift für Astronomie und Astrophysik. Das Astrophysical Journal wurde 1895 von George Ellery Hale und James E. Keeler gegründet und wird heute von der American Astronomical Society (AAS) herausgegeben. Seit 1953 wird in der (ApJS) ergänzendes und umfangreiches Material veröffentlicht. Die Astrophysical Journal Letters (ApJL) bieten rasche Veröffentlichung neuester Ergebnisse in kompakter Form. Ab 2022 erscheinen sämtliche Beiträge im Astrophysical Journal im Open Access. - The Astrophysical Journal, often abbreviated ApJ (pronounced "ap jay") in references and speech, is a peer-reviewed scientific journal of astrophysics and astronomy, established in 1895 by American astronomers George Ellery Hale and James Edward Keeler. The journal discontinued its print edition and became an electronic-only journal in 2015. Since 1953 The Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series (ApJS) has been published in conjunction with The Astrophysical Journal, with generally longer articles to supplement the material in the journal. It publishes six volumes per year, with two 280-page issues per volume. The Astrophysical Journal Letters (ApJL), established in 1967 by Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar as Part 2 of The Astrophysical Journal, is now a separate journal focusing on the rapid publication of high-impact astronomical research. The three journals were published by the University of Chicago Press for the American Astronomical Society until, in January 2009, publication was transferred to IOP Publishing, following the move of the society's Astronomical Journal in 2008. The reason for the changes were given by the society as the increasing financial demands of the University of Chicago Press. Compared to journals in other scientific disciplines, The Astrophysical Journal has a larger (> 85%) acceptance rate, which, however, is similar to other journals covering astronomy and astrophysics. On January 1, 2022, the AAS Journals, including ApJ, transitioned to Gold open access model, with all new papers released under a Creative Commons Attribution license and access restrictions and subscription charges removed from previously published papers.
