- Sri Poyatha Moorthi Temple is the oldest existing/intact Hindu temple in Malaysia and one of the oldest functioning Hindu temples in Maritime Southeast Asia. Located in the state of Malacca, the temple is one of the few existing Chitty temples in Malaysia. The temple is situated on Jalan Tukang Emas, also known as "Harmony Street" because of its proximity to the Kampung Kling Mosque and Cheng Hoon Teng Temple. The temple was built by , the leader of the Chitty people, in 1781 after the Dutch colonial government of Malacca gave him a plot of land. The temple is dedicated to Vinayagar or Ganesha, the elephant deity. In the back room is a sculpture of the deity with the head of an elephant and the body of a man with four hands. There is another altar dedicated to Lord Muruga, the younger brother of Lord Vinayagar. (en)

Kuil ini dijadikan sebagai simbol penghalang dari berbagai rintangan atau halangan. Penganut agama Hindu datang ke kuil ini ketika akan memulai perniagaan atau membuka usaha. - O Templo de Sri Poyatha Moorthi é o templo hindu mais antigo da Malásia e um dos mais antigos templos hindus em funcionamento no sudeste marítimo da Ásia. Localizado no estado de Malaca, o templo é um dos poucos templos Chitty (povo) existentes na Malásia. O templo está situado em Jalan Tukang Emas, também conhecida como "Rua da Harmonia" devido à sua proximidade com a e o Templo Cheng Hoon Teng. O templo foi construído por Thavinayagar Chitty, o líder do povo Chitty, em 1781, depois que o governo colonial holandês do Malaca lhe deu um terreno. O templo é dedicado a Vinayagar ou Ganesha, a divindade do elefante. Na sala dos fundos há uma escultura da divindade com a cabeça de um elefante e o corpo de um homem com quatro mãos.
