Siti Rahmah merupakan orang Malaysia pertama yang menyerahkan gelang emas (hadiah pernikahan dari ayahnya) kepada Tunku Abdul Rahman untuk biaya ke London dalam rangka menuntut kemerdekaan Malaysia dari Inggris.
