In its early days ShipServ was a co-founder of the Maritime E-Commerce Association (MECA), the not-for-profit organisation that governs the MTML (Marine Trading Mark-up Language) standard. The current CEO is Henrik Hyldahn, who took over Kim Skaarup in January 2020.
