- William Scott Gorham (born March 17, 1951) is an American guitarist and songwriter who is one of the "twin lead guitarists" for the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy. Although not a founding member of Thin Lizzy, he served a continuous membership after passing an audition in 1974, joining the band at a time when the band's future was in doubt after the departures of original guitarist Eric Bell and his brief replacement Gary Moore. Gorham remained with Thin Lizzy until the band's breakup in 1983. He and guitarist Brian Robertson, both hired at the same time, marked the beginning of the band's most critically successful period, and together developed Thin Lizzy's twin lead guitar style while contributing dual backing vocals as well. Gorham is the band member with the longest membership after founders Brian Downey (drummer) and frontman and bass guitarist, Phil Lynott. Since 1996, Gorham has continued to perform with Thin Lizzy on guitar and backing vocals, having assembled various lineups after the death of band leader Lynott in 1986. In 2012, Gorham co-founded the Thin Lizzy spin-off band Black Star Riders to showcase new material. He left Black Star Riders in 2021 in order to concentrate on Thin Lizzy. (en)

- Scott Gorham (Glendale, 17 maart 1951) is een Amerikaanse gitarist en songwriter. Gorham groeide op in Glendale (Californië) waar hij de gitaar ter hand nam en als tiener in verschillende rockbands speelde. In deze tijd raakte hij bevriend met Bob Siebenberg. Siebenberg vertrok begin jaren zeventig naar Engeland waar hij in Supertramp speelde. In 1974 adviseerde Siebenberg zijn bandleden Gorham als extra gitarist in Supertramp op te nemen, maar doordat Gorham lang moest sparen voor een vliegticket, hadden ze al vóór zijn aankomst in Engeland een saxofonist (John Helliwell) gekozen. In Engeland aangekomen stelde Gorham een groep samen die de naam Fast Buck kreeg. Hiermee werd in de pubs van East End, London opgetreden. Gorham werd onder de aandacht van Phil Lynott van Thin Lizzy gebracht. Thin Lizzy had weliswaar een hit met Whiskey in the Jar maar bleek niet in staat gitaristen vast te houden. Lynott nodigde Gorham uit voor een tryout, waarna Gorham samen met een nieuwe line-up vormde. Gorham speelde in Thin Lizzy tussen 1974 en 1983 (het jaar waarin de groep werd opgeheven), en sinds de hereniging van Thin Lizzy in 1996.
