- Romsdalen je údolí ležící na území norských krajů Møre og Romsdal a Innlandet. Táhne se severozápadním směrem od horského jezera k mořskému zálivu . Je dlouhé 60 km a protéká jím řeka , podle níž dostalo jméno (původně Raumsdalr). Údolí je obklopeno pohořím , nejvyšší hora je (1852 m), dalšími jsou , a . Na prudkých svazích dochází k častým sesuvům půdy a záplavám, u obce byla roku 1949 vybudována vodní elektrárna. Oblast je populárním turistickým cílem, nachází se zde vodopád , vysoký 773 m, a nejvyšší kolmá skalní stěna Evropy (Stěna trollů), vyhledávaná vyznavači horolezectví a BASE jumpingu. Údolím prochází železnice a silnice E136. Významnými městy jsou a Molde, kde se nachází skanzen uchovávající ukázky původní architektury. Zdejší scenérie maloval krajinář Thomas Fearnley, děj některých svých knih do regionu zasadil Jo Nesbø. Vzhledem ke strategickému významu údolí se o ně vedly těžké boje roku 1940 v rámci Operace Weserübung. (cs)

La vall, de 60 quilòmetres de llargada, va a través del municipi de Rauma al comtat de Møre og Romsdal fins al municipi de Lesja al comtat d'Oppland. - Romsdalen is a valley in the western part of Norway. The 60-kilometre (37 mi) long valley runs through Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county and Lesja Municipality in Innlandet county. It is the valley of the Rauma river, from Old Norse word Raumsdalr which means Rauma valley. The traditional district of Romsdal, which makes up about one-third of Møre og Romsdal county, is named for the valley of Romsdalen. The main road E136 and the Rauma line runs along the valley floor. Mannen is an unstable rock above the valley. Mannen is expected to someday slide into the valley floor and block the river. There could be devastating flood downstream, if the river suddenly breaks through the dam created by the rockslide. Around Remmem and Flatmark the valley is littered with huge rocks or boulders that have fallen from the high mountains surrounding the valley. Trolltindene and other summits on the western edge are protected as part of Reinheimen National Park. Alpine summits around Isterdalen and Trollstigen are partly within the national park, partly within Trollstigen protected landscape area. (en)
