- Orthonairovirus (früher Nairovirus) ist eine Gattung von Viren in der Familie der Nairoviren aus der Ordnung der Bunyaviren (Bunyavirales), die Vertreter mit einem Genom aus segmentierter, zirkulärer RNA negativer Polarität umfasst. Der Name rührt hert von der Nairobi-Schafkrankheit, die den Magen-Darm-Trakt von Schafen und Ziegen betrifft. Die überwiegende Mehrheit, wenn nicht alle Viren dieser Gattung werden durch Zecken übertragene, die Wirbeltiere und insbesondere auch den Menschen befallen. (de)
- Orthonairovirus is a genus of viruses in the family Nairoviridae of the order Bunyavirales that include viruses with circular, negative-sense single stranded RNA. It got its name from the Nairobi sheep disease that affects the gastrointestinal tracts of sheep and goats. The vast majority, and perhaps all viruses in this genus are tick-borne viruses that can have human or other vertebrate hosts. (en)
- Les Orthonairovirus sont un genre de virus de la famille des Nairoviridae qui comprend des virus à ARN monocaténaire circulaire de sens négatif. Il doit son nom à la maladie du mouton de Nairobi qui affecte le tractus gastrointestinal des moutons et des chèvres. La grande majorité si ce n'est tous les virus de ce genre sont transmis par les tiques et peuvent infecter humains ou autres vertébrés. Quelques Orthonairovirus sont responsables de maladies graves et létales chez l'humain, notamment la fièvre Congo-Crimée. En 2020, l'ICTV recense 41 espèces d'Orthonairovirus. (fr)
