- Norman Adrian de Bruyne FRS, né à Punta Arenas au Chili le 8 novembre 1904 et décédé le 7 mars 1997, est un ingénieur aéronautique, scientifique, industriel britannique et pionnier des adhésifs structuraux et des matériaux composites. Son père était hollandais et sa mère anglaise. Il a grandi en Angleterre, a étudié les sciences à l'Université de Cambridge et est devenu chercheur en physique. His father was Dutch and his mother English. He grew up in England, studied science at the University of Cambridge and became a physics researcher.
