- New Melleray Abbey is a Trappist monastery located near Dubuque, Iowa. The abbey is located about 15 miles southwest of Dubuque and is in the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Currently the Abbey is home to about 16 monks. Several of the monks work in their business, Trappist Caskets, and some of their food comes from the garden behind the Abbey. The abbot of the monastery is Dom Brendan Freeman, who was appointed by Father Immediate McCarthy in December 2021 after consulting the community. (en)

Leur vie communautaire se partage entre prière, travail (surtout manuel) et étude. Le Père-Abbé est actuellement Dom Mark Scott, élu en 2014, qui succede au T.R.P. Brendan Freeman, ocso. L'abbaye est située près de Dubuque dans l'Iowa (États-Unis) et fait partie de l'archidiocèse de Dubuque. Son nom est issu de la commune de La Meilleraye-de-Bretagne en France, où les cisterciens avaient une grande abbaye, l'abbaye Notre-Dame de Melleray. (fr)

Biara tersebut berjarak sekitar 15 mil dari barat daya Dubuque dan berada di Keuskupan Agung Dubuque. Pada 3 Agustus 2013, Dom Augustine McGregor, Abbas Mount Melleray, (Irlandia) dan Romo Imediasi New Melleray, setelah berkonsultasi dengan masyarakat, melantik Dom Mark Scott sebagai Superior ad nutum New Melleray. Saat ini, biara tersebut ditinggali oleh sekitar 37 biarawan. Beberapa biarawan bekerja dengan bertani, sehingga makanan mereka berasal dari ladang di sekitaran Biara tersebut. (in)
