- Die National Statuary Hall Collection im Kapitol von Washington, D.C. umfasst Statuen von prominenten Bürgern der Vereinigten Staaten, die von ihren Heimatbundesstaaten in Anerkennung ihrer Leistungen gestiftet wurden. Ursprünglich wurde die Sammlung im alten Plenarsaal des Repräsentantenhauses gezeigt, der heutigen National Statuary Hall; inzwischen ist die wachsende Sammlung im gesamten Kapitol verteilt. Seit 2006 besteht die Sammlung aus 100 Statuen, die von den 50 Bundesstaaten gestiftet wurden. Die zweite Statue von New Mexico komplettierte die Sammlung. Wenige Jahre, nachdem der Kongress den Austausch von Statuen genehmigt hatte, wechselten Alabama, Kalifornien und Kansas eine ihrer beiden Statuen aus. Am 1. Dezember 2005 beschloss der Kongress ein Gesetz zur Anfertigung einer Statue von Rosa Parks und bestimmte in dem Gesetz, dass diese Statue in der National Statuary Hall einem geeigneten dauerhaften Standort erhalten soll. - The National Statuary Hall Collection in the United States Capitol is composed of statues donated by individual states to honor persons notable in their history. Limited to two statues per state, the collection was originally set up in the old Hall of the House of Representatives, which was then renamed National Statuary Hall. The expanding collection has since been spread throughout the Capitol and its Visitor's Center. With the addition of New Mexico's second statue in 2005, the collection is now complete with 100 statues contributed by 50 states, plus two from the District of Columbia, and one for all the states, a statue of Rosa Parks. Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, and Ohio have each replaced one of their first two statues after Congress authorized replacements in 2000. In 2022, Kansas became the first state to replace both of their statues; it will soon be joined by Arkansas and Nebraska. (en)

Initialement située dans le Old Hall de la Chambre des représentants, une partie de la collection fut étendue autour du Capitole des États-Unis. Avec l'ajout de la seconde statue du Nouveau-Mexique en 2005, la collection est désormais complète avec ses 100 statues. Depuis la création de la collection au cours du XIXe siècle, les États de l'Alabama, de la Californie et du Kansas remplacèrent l'une de leurs deux statues lorsque le Congrès autorisa cette procédure.
