- Locrian ist eine experimentelle Drone-Band, die Ende 2005 in Chicago gegründet wurde und derzeit sowohl in Chicago als auch in Baltimore ansässig ist. Die Band besteht aus Terence Hannum (Synthesizer, Gesang, Tape Loops), Steven Hess (Schlagzeug, Elektronik) und André Foisy (elektrische, akustische Gitarren, Tape Loops und Elektronik). In ihrer zehnjährigen Bandgeschichte haben Locrian sechs Studioalben, drei Split-Alben und zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen in limitierter Auflage herausgegeben. (de)

The band features Terence Hannum (synthesizers, vocals, tape loops), Steven Hess (drums, electronics), and André Foisy (electric, 12-string, acoustic guitars, tape loops, and electronics). The group incorporates influences from multiple genres including ambient, black metal, noise, drone, industrial, and electronics, and cite One Eyed God Prophecy, Uranus, Yes, Genesis, Brian Eno, and Robert Fripp as influences. Locrian lyrics and artwork evoke dystopic and apocalyptic imagery.
