- Jodmethyljodid zinečnatý je organická sloučenina využívaná jako aktivní reaktant při Simmonsově–Smithově reakci; například jodmethyljodid zinečnatý vytvořený in situ z dijodmethanu a slitiny zinku a mědi reaguje s cyklohexenem za vzniku (bicyklo[4.1.0]heptanu). Příklad Simmonsovy-Smithovy reakce Získat jej lze také z diazomethanu a jodidu zinečnatého nebo reakcí dijodmethanu s diethylzinkem. (cs)
- Iodomethylzinc iodide is the active reagent in the Simmons–Smith reaction. For example, iodomethylzinc iodide, formed in situ from diiodomethane and a zinc-copper couple reacts with cyclohexene to give norcarane (bicyclo[4.1.0]heptane). Iodomethylzinc iodide may also be generated by the reaction of diazomethane with zinc iodide, or by the reaction of methylene iodide with diethylzinc. (en)
- L'iodure d'iodométhylzinc est un composé organozincique de formule chimique IZnCH2I. Il s'agit d'un intermédiaire réactionnel indispensable notamment aux réactions de Simmons-Smith de cyclopropanation des alcènes, réactions au cours desquelles il se forme par réaction du diiodométhane CH2I2 avec le couple zinc-cuivre Zn(Cu) : Znn(Cu) + CH2I2 ⟶ IZnCH2I + Znn–1(Cu).
