- Frederic I d'Arborea fou fill de Leonor d'Arborea i de Brancaleone Doria. Fou proclamat jutge d'Arborea pel Parlament el 1383 juntament amb son germà Marià V d'Arborea. Va governar sota regència de la seva mare.Va acompanyar al seu pare Brancaleone en bona part de les revoltes sardes contra la Corona d'Aragó. - Frederick (1377–1387) was the Judge of Arborea from 1383 until his death. His surname was Doria, but since he belonged to the ruling house of Arborea he is often dynastically called , or . Nephew and successor of Hugh III, he was a minor upon his succession and was under the tutelage of his mother Eleanor. He was born at Castel Genovese (modern Castelsardo) in 1377 to Eleanor and Brancaleone Doria, a Genoese nobleman. In 1382, Eleanor was residing in Genoa, where she made a pact with the Doge Nicolò Guarco that loaned him 4,000 florins and promised Frederick in marriage to the doge's daughter Bianchina. If the girl died before the marriage could take place, the agreement would be null. Frederick never reached puberty and the accord never came into effect. Upon Hugh's death in a republican uprising, the barons of the realm gathered in a parliament and elected Frederick judge. Eleanor immediately set to work defeating the rebels and securing her son's realm. No sooner, the Giudicato fell into another bitter war with the Crown of Aragon, who laid claim to the island. During the war, Frederick was captured together with his father by its monarch Peter IV of Aragon, and they both were imprisoned in Cagliari, first in the tower of San Pancrazio and then in that of Elefante. Frederick died in captivity in 1387, the same year as Peter. He was succeeded by his younger brother Marianus V, also under the regency of Eleanor.

- Federico Doria Bas fue juez Arborea. Era nieto y sucesor de Hugo III de Arborea y dada la joven edad gobernó siempre bajo la regencia de su madre, la célebre Leonor de Arborea. Nació en (hoy en día Castelsardo) en 1377 de Leonor de Arborea y Brancaleone Doria, un noble perteneciente a la célebre dinastía de origen genovés. Según los documentos, en 1382 Leonor residía en Génova, donde contrajo un pacto con el que le prestó 4.000 florines a cambio de la promesa de Federico como esposo de Bianchina, hija del dogo. Si la joven hubiese muerto antes del matrimonio, el pacto habría sido nulo. sin embargo, Federico murió antes de alcanzar la pubertad y después el acuerdo no tuvo más efecto. Hugo III murió en 1383, en el curso de una conjura organizada por rebeldes, tras la cual los barones del juzgado de Arborea se reunieron en parlamento y eligieron juez al pequeño Federico, que aún tenía solo seis años, porque era el pariente varón más próximo del juez difunto. La madre Leonor debía inmediatamente empeñarse por asegurar el reino a su hijo y derrotar a los rebeldes.
