- F. P. Journe ist ein Schweizer Uhrenunternehmen mit Sitz in Genf. Gegründet wurde die Manufaktur 1999 von François-Paul Journe. Der Wahlspruch der Marke lautet Invenit et Fecit (Lateinisch für Erfinden und Umsetzen) und soll zum Ausdruck bringen, dass das Unternehmen die Uhren vollständig eigenständig baut. Bei vielen Uhrenherstellern kommen Basiskaliber zum Beispiel von der ETA SA oder zum Einsatz, die dann weiterverarbeitet werden. F.P.Journe entwirft oftmals neue Uhrwerke, mit vollständigen neuen Systemen, wie den Resonanz-Chronometer, der zwei Uhrwerke in einem Gehäuse unterbringt. Obwohl die beiden Unruh der zwei Uhrwerke mechanisch voneinander getrennt sind, schwingen diese synchron. The only three-time winner of the Aiguille d'Or grand prize from the Fondation du Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. Journe focuses on complex precision chronometers with a production of around 800 watches per year. 20% of the company was acquired by Chanel in 2018 for an undisclosed amount. F.P.Journe is the only watchmaker still based in central Geneva, with company headquarters, manufacturing facilities, and an exhibition space with library housed in a converted gaslamp factory in the Coulouvreniere Rois neighborhood. F.P. Journe also owns its own casemaker, Les Boîtiers de Genève, and its own dialmaker, Les Cadraniers de Genève, housed in the same facility in Meyrin, a municipality in the Canton of Geneva.
