- الغزو الإنجليزي لاسكتلندا (1400) كان الغزو الإنكليزي لاسكتلندا في أغسطس 1400 أول حملة عسكرية قام بها هنري الرابع من إنجلترا بعد إطاحة الملك السابق (ابن عمه ريتشارد الثاني). كان هنري الرابع يريد قيام حملة على وجه السرعة للدفاع عن الحدود الأنجلو الاسكتلندية، والتغلب على إرث الإسكتلندي بعد الحملات العسكرية الفاشلة. تم تجميع جيش كبير ببطء وسار في اسكتلندا. ولم يكن هناك معركة ضارية، فقام الملك بمحاصرة عاصمة اسكتلندا، ادنبره. غادر جيش هنري في نهاية الصيف بعد إقامة قصيرة فقط، معظمها كانت في مخيم بالقرب من ادنبره حيث يمكن الحفاظ على اتصال مع أسطول الإمداد. وفي نهاية المطاف لم تنجح الحملة، وهي تعتير حملة تاريخية ملحوظة لكونها الحملة الأخيرة التي قادها ملك إنجليزي على التربة الاسكتلندية (ar)
- The English invasion of Scotland of August 1400 was the first military campaign undertaken by Henry IV of England after deposing the previous king, his cousin Richard II. Henry IV urgently wanted to defend the Anglo-Scottish border, and to overcome his predecessor's legacy of failed military campaigns. A large army was assembled slowly and marched into Scotland. Not only was no pitched battle ever attempted, but the king did not try and besiege Scotland's capital, Edinburgh. Henry's army left at the end of the summer after only a brief stay, mostly camped near Leith (near Edinburgh) where it could maintain contact with its supply fleet. The campaign ultimately accomplished little except to further deplete the king's coffers, and is historically notable only for being the last one led by an English king on Scottish soil. (en)
