- Devapi (Sanskrit: देवापि, Devāpi, lit. friend of Gods) or Devāpi Arṣṭiṣeṇa, is an immortal sage. According to the Nirukta (ii.10), the Brihaddevata, the Mahabharata, and the Puranas, he was a Kuru prince and the eldest son of King Pratipa of Hastinapura. He was a noble and well-liked prince but he was not allowed to succeed Pratipa, because he was affected with leprosy and the council of Brahmanas and elderly citizens were opposed to this proposal. As a result of this, his younger brother Shantanu succeeded Pratipa as the king of Hastinapura. Later Devapi retired to the forest for penance. According to the Matsya Purana and the Bhagavata Purana, he along with the sage Maru will remain alive till the end of the present Kali Yuga at a place called Kalapagrama and will revive the Paurava dynasty in the next Satya Yuga. - Dewapi (Dewanagari: देवपि; IAST: Devāpi देवपि) atau Dewapi Arstisena (Dewanagari: देवप अर्षटिषेण; IAST: Devāpi Arṣṭiṣeṇa देवप अर्षटिषेण) adalah nama seorang resi, putra sulung Pratipa dari Dinasti Kuru, menurut cerita Hindu dalam Mahabharata, Purana, dan Nirukta. Ia merupakan seorang bangsawan dan pangeran yang budiman tetapi menolak untuk mewarisi tahta sebab ia tidak tertarik untuk menjadi raja; ia lebih memilih untuk mengabdikan hidupnya demi alam semesta. Versi lain menyatakan bahwa ia menderita kusta sehingga dewan kerajaan menolaknya sebagai pewaris takhta. Oleh karena hal tersebut, adiknya yang bernama Santanu diangkat menjadi Raja Kuru. Dalam berbagai versi dikisahkan bahwa Dewapi pergi ke hutan untuk bertapa (bersuluk) setelah Santanu dinobatkan sebagai pewaris takhta. Menurut kitab dan Bhagawatapurana, ia dan resi Maru akan tetap hidup sampai akhir Kaliyuga di suatu tempat bernama Kalapagrama, dan akan memulai kembali Bangsa Paurawa yang baru pada Satyayuga berikutnya.
