- David Blair (Broughty Ferry, 11 de noviembre de 1874 – Hendon, 10 de enero de 1955) fue un marino mercante británico de la White Star Line. Estaba asignado como 2º oficial del RMS Titanic pero justo antes de su viaje inaugural fue reemplazado a último momento. Debido a su partida apresurada, se llevó accidentalmente la llave de un casillero de almacenamiento que se cree que contenía los binoculares destinados al nido del cuervo. - David Blair (or Davy) (11 November 1874 – 10 January 1955) was a British merchant seaman with the White Star Line, which had reassigned him from the RMS Titanic just before its maiden voyage. Due to his hasty departure, he accidentally kept a key to a storage locker believed to contain the binoculars intended for use by the crow's nest lookout. The absence of any binoculars within the crow's nest is believed to be one of the main contributory factors in the Titanic’s ultimate demise. (en)
