- DShield je v informatice název komunitního systému sdílení logů z firewallů. Logy získává od dobrovolníků po celém světě a používá je pro vyhodnocení trendů útoků. Oficiálně byl tento projekt spuštěn v listopadu roku 2000 a za jeho spuštěním stojí . Od té doby se systém rozrostl a stal se celosvětově dominantním systémem vzájemné ochrany před útoky. DShield pravidelně používají média jako zdroj informací o současných událostech. Analýzy provedené DShieldem pomohly ke včasnému odhalení několika červů, například Ramen, Code Red, Leaves, SQ Snake. DShield je často používán analytiky útoků pro určení jejich hlavních znaků. Cílem projektu DShield je zpřístupnit získané informace bezplatně veřejnosti, aby měla povědomí o aktuálních internetových útocích. - DShield is a community-based collaborative firewall log correlation system. It receives logs from volunteers worldwide and uses them to analyze attack trends. It is used as the data collection engine behind the SANS Internet Storm Center (ISC). DShield was officially launched end of November 2000 by Johannes Ullrich. Since then, it has grown to be a dominating attack correlation engine with worldwide coverage. DShield is regularly used by the media to cover current events. Analysis provided by DShield has been used in the early detection of several worms, like "Ramen", Code Red, "Leaves", "SQL Snake" and more. DShield data is regularly used by researchers to analyze attack patterns. The goal of the DShield project is to allow access to its correlated information to the public at no charge to raise awareness and provide accurate and current snapshots of internet attacks. Several data feeds are provided to users to either include in their own web sites or to use as an aide to analyze events. (en)

- DShield è un progetto partecipativo di sicurezza informatica nato negli USA utilizzato come banca dati del SANS Internet Storm Center (ISC) e avviato ufficialmente a fine novembre del 2000 dal professor . Ricevendo i log dai firewall di volontari da tutto il mondo, riesce a tracciare le attività di un gran numero di host connessi in rete. Il fine è quello di localizzare ed isolare gli indirizzi IP più pericolosi. Diverse università americane hanno aderito al progetto, condividendo i propri log e potendo così evitare accessi non autorizzati. DShield è in grado di stabilire da quale indirizzi IP vengono sferrati i maggiori attacchi, il cosiddetto "top attacker", oppure dire con certezza la porta maggiormente presa di mira. Grazie alle analisi del progetto è stato possibile rilevare tempestivamente le minacce di diversi worm come "Ramen", "Leaves", "SQL Snake" e altri. (it)
