Il passe la ligne d’arrivée en premier du Vendée Globe 2020-2021 le 27 janvier 2021 à 20 h 35, soit 80 j 6 h 15 min 47 s pour boucler le tour du Monde en solitaire, sans escale et sans assistance. Il finit officiellement 2e derrière Yannick Bestaven, ce dernier bénéficiant d'une compensation de 10 h 15 après sa participation au sauvetage de Kevin Escoffier, plus tôt dans la course. (fr)
