- William Sterling Blair PC COM MP (born April 9, 1954) is a Canadian politician and former police officer who has served as President of the Privy Council and Minister of Emergency Preparedness since October 26, 2021. A member of the Liberal Party, Blair represents Scarborough Southwest in the House of Commons. Blair previously held the portfolios of Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness. Before entering politics, Blair worked for three decades with the Toronto Police Service (TPS), serving as the chief of police from 2005 until retiring in 2015. (en)

Le 20 novembre 2019, il est nommé ministre de la Sécurité Publique, par le premier ministre Justin Trudeau, afin de remplacer le ministre Ralph Goodale. Depuis le 18 juillet 2018, il était le ministre de la Sécurité frontalière et de la Réduction du crime organisé. Depuis le 19 octobre 2015, il était le député de Scarborough-Sud-Ouest . Le 26 octobre 2021, il est nommé Président du Conseil privé du Roi pour le Canada au sein du gouvernement de Justin Trudeau. Il garde également son poste de ministre de la Protection civile mais celui de la Sécurité publique passe entre les mains de Marco Mendicino. (fr)
