- The action of 1 February 1625 was a naval engagement between a Portuguese fleet and an allied Anglo-Dutch fleet, that took place on 1 to 24 February 1625 in the Persian Gulf. Although an allied tactical victory, with the Anglo-Dutch force inflicting several times their losses on the Portuguese, it resulted in a strategic Portuguese victory as they were able to regain the control of the Persian gulf. La battaglia scoppiò per il controllo del traffico commerciale e militare nel Golfo Persico. Per quanto il Portogallo risultasse alla fine piagato da pesanti perdite, la flotta portoghese riuscì a ottenere comunque il controllo del golfo, assicurandosi la vittoria. (it)
- Bitwa koło wyspy Keszm – starcie zbrojne, które miało miejsce w roku 1625 w trakcie angielsko-portugalskich walk kolonialnych. W roku 1619 Rui Freire de Andrade na czele 5 okrętów i 2 000 ludzi wyruszył w kierunku cieśniny Ormuz. W czerwcu 1620 r. flotylla pojawiła się u brzegów wyspy Keszm, gdzie Portugalczycy rozpoczęli budowę twierdzy, mającej na celu blokadę przejścia okrętów angielskich. Kilka miesięcy później Anglicy porozumieli się z Persami, z pomocą których zmusili Portugalczyków do opuszczenia wyspy po zwycięskiej . W lutym 1625 r. portugalska flota powróciła w rejon Keszm, staczając 3 bitwy z Anglikami w dniach 11, 13 oraz 25 lutego. W wyniku ostatniego starcia Portugalczykom udało się pokonać flotę angielską i przejąc kontrolę nad całym akwenem. (pl)
