- Světový pohár ve skocích na lyžích 2016/17 je 38. ročníkem závodů nejvyšší úrovně ve skocích na lyžích. Jeho mužská část byla zahájena 26. listopadu 2016 ve finské Ruce a poslední závod je naplánován na 26. března 2017 ve slovinské Planici. Ženská část začala 2. prosince 2016 v norském Lillehammeru a ukončena bude 10. března 2017 v Oslo. Vítězství z ročníku 2015/16 obhajovali Peter Prevc a Sara Takanašiová. (cs)
- Der Skisprung-Weltcup 2016/17 war eine vom Weltskiverband FIS ausgetragene Wettkampfserie im Skispringen. Der Weltcup bei den Männern begann am 25. November 2016 in Ruka, endete am 26. März 2017 in Planica und umfasste 27 Einzel- sowie sechs Teamwettbewerbe, von denen 29 in Europa und vier in Asien stattfanden. Der Weltcup bei den Frauen begann am 2. Dezember 2016 in Lillehammer, endete am 12. März 2017 in Oslo und umfasste 19 Einzelwettbewerbe, von denen 13 in Europa und sechs in Asien stattfanden. (de)
- The 2016–17 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup was the 38th World Cup season in ski jumping for men, the 20th official World Cup season in ski flying and the 6th World Cup season for ladies. The season began on 26 November 2016 in Kuusamo, Finland and concluded on 26 March 2017 in Planica, Slovenia. The season calendar was officially confirmed two months later at the congress in Cancún, Mexico. After a four-year absence, the was almost certain to return in the World Cup calendar, but cancelled in the last moment when Klingenthal had to replace Titisee-Neustadt early in the season. South Korea hosted a World Cup event for the first time, in Pyeongchang. The first edition of the Raw Air was held this season in Norway between 10–19 March 2017 on four different hills in Oslo, Lillehammer, Trondheim, and Vikersund. The competition lasted for ten consecutive days with a total of 16 rounds in overall standings: 8 rounds from four individual events, 4 rounds from two team events and all 4 qualifications rounds. The competition also had a record high prize money of €100,000 in total for top 3 competitors in overall standings: €60,000 for the title, €30,000 for the second place and €10,000 for the third place. This season a total of four different ski brands supplied the athletes. The two new ski manufactures premiered in the circuit and replaced the two brands that stopped the production: German company Verivox replaced Fluege.de and Slovenian company Slatnar instead of Elan. Fischer and Sport 2000 were also present. Invention by Slovenian manufacturer, with LED lights illuminated inrun track, was presented for the first time to the public at the International Ski Federation fall meeting this season in Zürich. It premiered in December at Engelberg, since they equipped their completely new inrun track with it. (en)
- La coupe du monde masculine de saut à ski 2016-2017 est la 38e édition de la coupe du monde de saut à ski, compétition de saut à ski organisée annuellement. Elle se déroule du 3 décembre 2016 au 26 mars 2017. La saison sera entravée par les Championnats du monde qui se déroulent du 21 février 2017 au 5 mars 2017 à Lahti. La première édition du Raw Air en Norvège aura lieu du 12 mars au 17 mars et compte pour le championnat. Durant cette compétition, les scores en qualifications, en compétition par équipe et en individuelle sont prises en compte, soit au total 16 épreuves (4 sauts de qualifications, 8 sauts en individuelle et 4 saut en équipe). - La Coppa del Mondo di salto con gli sci 2017, trentottesima edizione della manifestazione organizzata dalla Federazione Internazionale Sci, è stata la sesta a prevedere un circuito di gare femminili. Nel corso della stagione si sono tenuti a Lahti i Campionati mondiali di sci nordico 2017, non validi ai fini della Coppa del Mondo, il cui calendario ha dunque contemplato un'interruzione tra febbraio e marzo. La stagione maschile è iniziata il 25 novembre 2016 a Kuusamo, in Finlandia, e si è conclusa il 26 marzo 2017 a Planica, in Slovenia. Sono state disputate 26 gare individuali delle 27 in programma e 6 a squadre, in 17 differenti località: 1 su trampolino normale, 25 su trampolino lungo, 7 su trampolino per il volo. L'austriaco Stefan Kraft ha vinto sia la coppa di cristallo, il trofeo assegnato al vincitore della classifica generale, sia la Coppa di volo; il polacco Kamil Stoch ha vinto il Torneo dei quattro trampolini. Lo sloveno Peter Prevc era il detentore uscente sia della Coppa generale, sia del Torneo. La stagione femminile è iniziata il 2 dicembre 2016 a Lillehammer, in Norvegia, e si è conclusa il 12 marzo 2017 a Oslo Holmenkollen, ancora in Norvegia. Sono state disputate tutte le 19 gare in programma, tutte individuali, in 10 differenti località: 16 su trampolino normale, 3 su trampolino lungo. La giapponese Sara Takanashi, detentrice uscente, ha vinto la Coppa generale; non sono state assegnate coppe di specialità. (it)
- De wereldbeker schansspringen 2016/2017 (officieel: FIS Ski Jumping World Cup presented by Viessmann) ging van start op 25 november 2016 in het Finse Kuusamo en eindigde op 26 maart 2017 in het Sloveense Planica. De Oostenrijker Stefan Kraft veroverde zowel de algemene wereldbeker als de wereldbeker skivliegen, het Poolse team won het landenklassement. De Japanse Sara Takanashi werd winnares van het wereldbekerklassement voor vrouwen, het Japanse vrouwenteam won het landenklassement. Dit schansspringseizoen telde verschillende hoogtepunten, zo waren er de wereldkampioenschappen schansspringen en het Vierschansentoernooi. De schansspringer die op het einde van het seizoen de meeste punten had verzameld, won de algemene wereldbeker. De wedstrijden op de wereldkampioenschappen telden niet mee voor de algemene wereldbeker. (nl)
- Pucharu Świata w skokach narciarskich 2016/2017 – 38. edycja Pucharu Świata mężczyzn w skokach narciarskich, która rozpoczęła się 25 listopada 2016 na skoczni Rukatunturi w fińskiej Ruce, a zakończyła 26 marca 2017 na Letalnicy w słoweńskiej Planicy. W terminarzu, który został zatwierdzony w czerwcu 2016 roku podczas kongresu FIS w Cancún, znalazło się 27 konkursów indywidualnych (w tym 5 w lotach narciarskich) oraz 6 konkursów drużynowych (w tym 2 w lotach narciarskich). Nowością w kalendarzu Pucharu Świata w skokach narciarskich był turniej Raw Air. Pierwsza edycja tego cyklu odbyła się w dniach 10–19 marca 2017 w Oslo, Lillehammer, Trondheim i Vikersund. W dniach 15–16 lutego 2017 po raz pierwszy rozegrano zawody w Korei Południowej – w miejscowości Pjongczang przeprowadzono próbę przedolimpijską. Podczas sezonu z różnych powodów doszło do zmian w planie Pucharu Świata:
* konkursy w Niżnym Tagile zostały odwołane z powodu braku siatek chroniących przed wiatrem oraz problemów z wypłacaniem premii finansowych za poprzednie zawody Pucharu Świata w tym miejscu; zostały one przeniesione do Lillehammer;
* z powodu silnego wiatru konkurs w Innsbrucku został skrócony do jednej serii;
* z powodu deszczu oraz silnego wiatru odbyła się tylko jedna seria drugiego konkursu lotów w Oberstdorfie;
* z powodu silnego wiatru drugi konkurs indywidualny w Pjongczangu przeniesiono ze skoczni dużej na normalną (HS109);
* z powodu silnego wiatru odwołano konkurs w Lillehammer (w ramach Raw Air); postanowiono, by zamiast niego odbyły się dodatkowe, jednoseryjne zawody w Vikersund 17 marca, jednak również to uniemożliwiły niekorzystne warunki atmosferyczne;
* z powodu zmiennego, zbyt silnego wiatru odbyła się tylko jedna seria drugiego konkursu indywidualnego na Letalnicy w Planicy. Na terenie Finlandii, w Lahti, w dniach 22 lutego – 5 marca 2017, rozegrano Mistrzostwa Świata w Narciarstwie Klasycznym 2017, niezaliczane do klasyfikacji generalnej Pucharu Świata i Pucharu Narodów.
