- The 2007 Segunda División Peruana season was the 62nd edition of the second tier of Federación Peruana de Futbol. There were 11 teams in play. Only 9 teams from the 2006 edition remained. Hijos de Acosvinchos, runner-up of the 2006 Copa Peru was promoted to the 2007 edition while Unión Huaral, which was relegated from the 2006 Peruvian first division, also participated in the tournament. The champion, Universidad César Vallejo, was promoted to the 2008 Peruvian First Division. The last place, Alfonso Ugarte of Puno, was relegated its respective regional league. The tournament was played on a home-and-away round-robin basis. (en)
- La Segunda División Peruana 2007 fue la 2.ª edición de este torneo descentralizado. Para esa edición, el número de participantes se vio reducido a 11 equipos. Tras la polémica amnistía otorgada por la Federación Peruana de Fútbol al Sport Ancash, en la que se decidió el retorno del José Gálvez al Campeonato Descentralizado 2008, el torneo quedó con un número impar de equipos. El torneo empezó el 26 de mayo y culminó el 11 de noviembre, jugándose un total de 22 fechas en la modalidad todos contra todos. Al final del campeonato, la Universidad César Vallejo logró el ascenso directo a la Primera División, mientras que Atlético Minero jugaría el repechaje frente al subcampeón de la Copa Perú 2007. Este último lograría también el ascenso al Campeonato Descentralizado 2008. (es)
