Jean-Paul de Saumeur, chevalier Paul, né en décembre 1597 au large de Marseille et mort le 20 décembre 1667 à Toulon, est un officier de marine français du XVIIe siècle. Malgré ses origines très modestes, il est attiré très jeune par la Marine. Jean-Paul de Saumeur, meglio noto come Chevalier Paul (1598 – Tolone, 20 dicembre 1667), è stato un navigatore e militare francese.
