- Der Škoda Favorit war der Nachfolger des Škoda 430 D. Die viertürige Mittelklasselimousine kam 1936 mit einer Karosserie in Holz-/Stahlmischkonstruktion heraus. Der wassergekühlte, seitengesteuerte Vierzylinder-Viertaktmotor hatte einen Hubraum von 1802 cm³ und eine Leistung von 38 PS (28 kW). Er beschleunigte das 820–1410 kg schwere Fahrzeug bis auf 95 km/h. Über das an den Motorblock angeflanschte Getriebe und eine Kardanwelle wurde die Antriebskraft an die Hinterräder weitergeleitet. Der vorne und hinten gegabelte Skelettrahmen des Wagens bestand aus geschweißten Stahl-U-Profilen und besaß ein Zentralrohr. 1938 erschien parallel dazu der Škoda Favorit 2000 OHV. Er hatte einen vollkommen neuen, obengesteuerten Vierzylinder-Viertakt-Reihenmotor mit 2091 cm³ Hubraum und 55 PS (40 kW) Leistung. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit des neuen Fahrzeugs betrug 110 km/h. Vom Modell mit seitengesteuerter Maschine wurden 169 Wagen in den Jahren 1936–1939 hergestellt, das Modell mit obengesteuerter Maschine brachte es auf 54 Exemplare in den Jahren 1938–1941. (de)
- The Škoda Favorit is a mid-size car that was made in Czechoslovakia by Škoda from 1936 to 1941. The original Favorit Type 904 has an 1,802 cc sidevalve engine and was built 1936–39. It was succeeded by the Favorit 2000 OHV which has a 2,091 cc overhead valve engine and was built 1938–41. Neither type sold well, so Škoda discontinued them to concentrate on other products. The company revived the model name in 1987 for its successful Favorit supermini. (en)

Pojazd miał silnik dolnozaworowy o pojemności 1802 cm³ i mocy 28 kW (38 KM) przy 3800 obr./min napędzający tylną oś, osiągał on prędkość maksymalną 95 km/h. Do roku 1939 z taśmy montażowej zjechało 169 egzemplarzy tego modelu. W latach 1938 - 1941 wyprodukowano krótką serię - 54 sztuk - samochodu o nazwie Favorit 2000 OHV (typ 923). Jego konstrukcję oparto na poprzednim modelu, jednak do napędu zastosowano nowocześniejszy silnik górnozaworowy o pojemności 2091 cm³ i mocy 40,5 kW (55 KM) przy 3500 obr./min.
