- ZDFkultur (auch ZDF Kultur) war ein aus dem ZDFtheaterkanal entstandener, von 2011 bis 2016 existierender Fernsehkanal des ZDF und Teil des digitalen Fernsehprogramm-Angebots ZDFvision. Der Sendebetrieb wurde am 7. Mai 2011 aufgenommen und 30. September 2016, 24:00 Uhr zugunsten des Onlineangebots Funk eingestellt. Am 13. Februar 2019 wurde ZDFkultur als digitales Angebot in der ZDF Mediathek wiederbelebt. Unter der Marke werden die Kulturinhalte der Sender ZDF, 3sat und arte gebündelt. (de)

È stato lanciato il 7 maggio 2011 per sositutire ZDFtheaterkanal e trasmetteva prevalentemente show musicali, come il Later... with Jools Holland, concerti pop e serie TV provenienti dall'archivio di ZDF, ma anche film e spettacoli. Il 1º maggio 2012 venne lanciata anche la versione in alta definizione (ZDFkultur HD) sul satellite. Il 22 febbraio 2013, il direttore di ZDF Thomas Bellut annunciò che ZDFkultur avrebbe chiuso, a causa dei tagli effettuati all'interno di ZDF. La chiusura del canale fu decisa l'8 marzo 2013; dopo l'annuncio della chiusura, la programmazione consisteva prevalentemente in contenuti d'archivio di ZDF. Le trasmissioni sono terminate definitivamente il 30 settembre 2016. (it)

It mainly broadcast music shows, such as Later... with Jools Holland, pop concerts and series from the ZDF archive, but also movies and theatre plays. On 1 May 2012, a high-definition simulcast was launched on satellite. On 22 February 2013, ZDF director Thomas Bellut announced that ZDFkultur would close in the near future, due to cost-saving measures at ZDF.The channel council agreed Bellut's proposal on 8 March 2013.The programming after the closure announcement consisting mostly of old ZDF archive content from the 1970s and 80s, with an annual budget of around €2 million. The channel was finally closed down on 30 September 2016. (en)
