Yuen Yuen Ang is a professor and author of China's political economy and the global implications of its rise. She is the inaugural recipient of the Theda Skocpol Prize from the American Political Science Association. Her 2016 book, How China Escaped the Poverty Trap (Cornell Studies in Political Economy) was named by Foreign Affairs as one of the "Best Books of 2017."
