- The Young Progressives Party (YPP) is a social-democratic political party in Nigeria. The party was created to challenge the two major contemporary parties in Nigeria, the People's Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress. In its manifesto, it called for concerted efforts to improve welfare, fight for social justice and provide equality of opportunities for all citizens in Nigeria. The Young Progressive Party won one seat out of the 109 seats in the Nigerian Senate during the 2019 general elections. (en)

De Senator namens de YPP is de rijke zakenman Ifeanyi Ubah (*1971). De Young Progressives Party werd in 2017 opgericht als links alternatief voor de Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) en het (regerende) All Progressives Congress (APC). De voormalige plaatsvervangende gouverneur van de Centrale Bank van Nigeria, , stelde zich bij de verkiezingen van 2019 kandidaat voor het presidentschap en verkreeg 0,08% van de stemmen.
