- William Dickson (Dublín, Irlanda, - Puerto Soledad, Islas Malvinas, 26 de agosto de 1833) fue un colono de origen irlandés en Puerto Soledad (o Port Louis) en la isla Soledad durante un momento crucial de la historia, después de la ocupación británica de las Malvinas (que expulsa a los argentinos) y que conduce a una serie de disturbios y caos que culminan con una sublevación por parte de colonos gauchos y asesinatos, donde Dickson termina falleciendo. - William Dickson, born Dublin, Ireland (died 26 August 1833) was an Irish-born settler in Port Louis in the Falkland Islands during a pivotal time in its history. He was hired by Luis Vernet as Port Louis storekeeper. Following the removal of the Argentine administration, Dickson was given into custody the British flag. Dickson wrote a diary where he documented the life in Port Louis shortly after the British landing. He became one of the victims of the Gaucho Murders, on 26 August 1833. (en)
