Visual temporal integration is a perceptual process of integrating a continuous and rapid stream of information into discrete perceptual episodes or ‘events’. Arguably, integrating over small temporal windows, as opposed to sampling ‘snapshots’, allows the brain to evaluate visual information more reliably.
