- Verno (řecky Βέρνο) je pohoří nacházející se na hranicích Řecka (prefektury a Florina), kde leží větší část a Severní Makedonie. Nejvyšší vrchol je (2128 m), který leží nedaleko silničního sedla . To od sebe odděluje Kastorii od jezera Vegoritis. Zde také sousedí Verno se skupinou (2052 m). Na severu hraničí masiv Verno s severomakedonským pohořím Baba. (cs)
- Το Βέρνο (ή Βίτσι) είναι βουνό που βρίσκεται στη Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Καστοριάς στα σύνορα με την Π.Ε. Φλώρινας στη Δυτική Μακεδονία. Το ύψος του είναι 2.128 μέτρα. Στο Βέρνο σημειώθηκαν ορισμένες από τις πιο σφοδρές μάχες κατά τη χρονική περίοδο του Ελληνικού Εμφυλίου 1946-1949. Το βουνό αποτελεί σήμερα έναν από τους βιότοπους της καφέ αρκούδας. Καλύπτεται από πυκνά δάση δρυός και οξιάς σε ενδιάμεσο υψόμετρο ενώ σε μεγαλύτερα υψόμετρα σχηματίζονται αλπικά λιβάδια. Στο Βέρνο λειτουργεί τα τελευταία χρόνια χιονοδρομικό κέντρο, το οποίο απέχει 22 χιλιόμετρα από την πόλη της Καστοριάς. (el)

La elevación de su pico más alto, Vitsi, alcanza los 2.128 m (6.982 pies). Se extiende desde el pueblo de Trivouno en el noroeste a Kleisoura en el sureste, en una longitud de unos 30 km (19 millas). The elevation of its highest peak, Verno, is 2,128 m (6,982 ft). It stretches from the village Trivouno in the northwest to Kleisoura in the southeast, over a length of about 30 km (19 mi). The nearest mountains are the Askio to the southeast, the Baba to the north and the northern Pindus to the southwest. It is drained towards the river (a tributary of the Crna) to the northeast, and towards the Aliakmonas and Lake Kastoria to the southwest. The nearest towns are Kastoria to the southwest and Florina to the northeast. Mountain villages in the Verno mountains include Trivouno, Polypotamo and Triantafyllia in the north, Makrochori, Vyssinia and Vasileiada in the south and Nymfaio in the east. The Greek National Road 2 (Krystallopigi - Florina - Edessa - Thessaloniki) runs north of the mountains. There is a road to the top of the mountain Vitsi. (en)
