- Verdurada is an event that happens quarterly in São Paulo, Brazil, since 1996. It consists in the presentation of bands, usually hardcore punk, and talks about political and social matters. Besides that, other activities have been organized, such as debates and video and art exhibitions with political and diverging content. During the events the consumption of alcohol, cigarettes and drugs is not allowed, and they are not sold inside the venue. In the end of the event, a vegan dinner is distributed. The event is totally organized by Coletivo Verdurada, a collective formed by people from the hardcore/punk/straight edge scene. The objectives of the organization of Verdurada are basically two: "to show that it's possible to organize events successfully with no sponsorship from big companies and no paid promotion in media, and to take to the audience the music made by the contesting youth and opinions by contesting thinkers and activists". - A Verdurada é um evento que acontece trimestralmente em São Paulo desde 1996. Consiste na apresentação de bandas, quase sempre de hardcore punk, e palestras sobre assuntos políticos. Além dos shows e palestras, são realizadas oficinas, debates, exposição de vídeos e de arte de conteúdo político e divergente. Durante os eventos não é permitido o consumo de álcool e drogas, que não são vendidos durante o evento. Ao final dos shows é distribuído um jantar totalmente vegetariano. O evento é realizado pelo Coletivo Verdurada, que é formado por pessoas ligadas à cena hardcore-punk-straight edge. Os objetivos da realização da Verdurada são basicamente dois: mostrar que se pode fazer com sucesso eventos sem o patrocínio de grandes empresas e sem divulgação paga na mídia e levar até o público a música feita pela juventude raivosa e as idéias e opiniões de pensadores e ativistas divergentes.
