- The Utrecht Archives (Dutch: Het Utrechts Archief (HUA)) is a records department in the Dutch city of Utrecht. The Utrecht Archives manages the biggest and richest collection of documents about the history of the city and the province of Utrecht and its towns and people. With over 200 km of archives, images (such as prints, drawings, maps, photo's, films) and 70.000 publications, the Archive is the major source of information for the history of Utrecht. The Utrecht Archives also disposes knowledge about legal supervision of archives in the field of analog as well as digital archive management.Besides, the national centre for ecclesiastical records is located in the Utrecht Archives together with the records of the Dutch Railways. The Utrecht Archives institution works closely together with other partners such as (local) governments, private individuals, partner institutions and other museums in Utrecht. (en)

Met ruim 30 kilometer archieven, beelddocumenten (prenten, tekeningen, topografische kaarten, foto's en films) en 73.000 publicaties vormt het archief een kenniscentrum voor de historie van Utrecht. Het Utrechts Archief bezit ook kennis over toezicht volgens de Archiefwet en op het gebied van analoog en digitaal archiefbeheer. In Het Utrechts Archief bevindt zich bovendien het landelijk centrum voor kerkelijke archieven en de archieven van de Nederlandse Spoorwegen. Het voert tevens het beheer van de archieven van de gemeente Nieuwegein. Het archief werkt nauw samen met andere partners, zoals overheden, particuliere archiefvormers, collega-instellingen en de Utrechtse musea. (nl)
