- Mit Oberpfälzisch-Obermainisches Hügelland (auch: Oberpfälzisch-Obermainisches Hügel- und Bergland) wird die muldenartige Hügellandschaft zwischen der Fränkischen Alb im Südwesten und (von Nordwest nach Südost) Frankenwald, Fichtelgebirge und Oberpfälzer Wald im Nordosten bezeichnet. Die in Nordwest-Südost-Richtung etwa 170 km lange, jedoch nur 7 bis 35 km breite Landschaft liegt in der Hauptsache in den bayerischen Regierungsbezirken Oberfranken und Oberpfalz, zu kleinen Teilen jedoch auch im thüringischen Landkreis Sonneberg. Bekannteste Orte sind (von Nordwest nach Südost) Sonneberg (äußerster Nordostrand), Kulmbach, Marktzeuln nahe Lichtenfels (als Nordwestgrenze), Bayreuth, Weiden (Ostrand), Amberg und Schwandorf. (de)
- The Upper Palatine-Upper Main Hills (German: Oberpfälzisch-Obermainisches Hügelland), also called the Upper Palatine-Upper Main Hills and Uplands (Oberpfälzisch-Obermainisches Hügel- und Bergland) form a landscape of low, rolling hills between the Franconian Jura in the southwest and (from northwest to southeast) the Franconian Forest, Fichtel Mountains and Upper Palatine Forest in the northeast. The region runs from northwest to southeast and is about 170 kilometres long, but only 7 to 35 kilometres wide and lies mainly in the Bavarian administrative provinces of Upper Franconia and Upper Palatinate; small elements, however, also lie within the Thuringian county of Sonneberg. Its best known settlements are (from northwest to southeast) Sonneberg (in the extreme northeast), Kulmbach, Marktzeuln near Lichtenfels (at the northwest edge), Bayreuth, Weiden (Ostrand), Amberg and Schwandorf. - Wzgórza Górnopalatynacko-Górnomeńsskie (niem. Oberpfälzisch-Obermainisches Hügelland) – makroregion fizycznogeograficzny w Bawarii wyróżniony przez niemiecki Urząd Ochrony Środowiska (niem. Bundesamt für Naturschutz, BfN). Jest to długi na 170 km., ale szeroki jedynie na 7-35 km. pas licznych wzgórz oddzielających wyższą Wyżynę Frankońską na zachodzie oraz Smreczany i Krainę Szumawską na wschodzie. Obszar składa się z dwóch mezoregionów. Na północy Wzgórza Górnomeńskie są odwadniane przez górny Men, będący dopływem Renu. Największym miastem mezoregionu jest Bayreuth. Południową część odwadnia rzeka Naab, będąca dopływem Dunaju. Ten mezoregion znajduje się w rejencji Górny Palatynat, a najważniejszym miastem w jego granicach jest Amberg. (pl)
