- La Resolució 606 del Consell de Seguretat de les Nacions Unides, fou aprovada per unanimitat el 23 de desembre de 1987. Després de recordar la Resolució 602 (1987) i assenyalar l'informe del Secretari General de les Nacions Unides autoritzat per aquesta resolució, el Consell va condemnar Sud-àfrica perquè continués ocupació de parts del sud de la República Popular d'Angola i pel seu retard en la retirada de les seves forces de la zona. El Consell va demanar al Secretari General que continués supervisant la retirada total, amb vista a obtenir un marc de temps complet des de Sud-àfrica. També li va demanar que informés el més aviat possible sobre la retirada. El projecte de resolució 606 va ser presentat per Argentina, , Ghana, Emirats Àrabs Units i Zàmbia. El representant d'Angola va dir que mentre que Sud-àfrica anunciava la seva retirada, reforçava les seves posicions, mentre que la va dir que no podia proporcionar un calendari. (ca)
- قرار مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة رقم 606، المتخذ بالإجماع في 23 ديسمبر 1987، بعد التذكير بالقرار 602 (1987) والإشارة إلى تقرير الأمين العام الذي أمر به ذلك القرار. وأدان المجلس جنوب أفريقيا لاستمرار احتلالها للأجزاء الجنوبية من جمهورية أنغولا الشعبية وتأخيرها في سحب قواتها من المنطقة. ثم طلب المجلس من الأمين العام مواصلة رصد الانسحاب الكامل، بهدف الحصول على إطار زمني كامل من جنوب أفريقيا. كما طلب منه تقديم تقرير في أقرب وقت بخصوص الانسحاب. تم تقديم مشروع القرار من قبل الأرجنتين والكونغو وغانا والإمارات العربية المتحدة وزامبيا. قال ممثل أنغولا الحاضر إنه بينما كانت جنوب أفريقيا تعلن انسحابها، فإنها في الواقع تعزز مواقفها، بينما قالت قوة دفاع جنوب أفريقيا إنها لا تستطيع تقديم جدول زمني. - Resolusi 606 Dewan Keamanan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa diadopsi pada 23 Desember 1987, usai mengulang Resolusi 602 (1987) dan menyatakan laporan Sekjen yang diperintahkan oleh resolusi tersebut. DKPBB mengecam Afrika Selatan karena pendudukan berkelanjutan terhadap bagian selatan Republik Rakyat Angola dan menunda penarikan pasukannya dari wilayah tersebut. (in)
- United Nations Security Council resolution 606 was adopted unanimously on 23 December 1987, after recalling Resolution 602 (1987) and noting the Secretary-General's report authorised by that resolution. The Council condemned South Africa for its continued occupation of southern parts of the People's Republic of Angola and for its delay in withdrawing its forces from the area. The Council then requested the Secretary-General to continue monitoring the total withdrawal, with a view to obtaining a full-time frame from South Africa. It also requested him to report back at the earliest date regarding the withdrawal. The draft Resolution 606 was submitted by Argentina, the Congo, Ghana, the United Arab Emirates and Zambia. The representative from Angola present said that while South Africa was announcing its withdrawal, it was, in fact, reinforcing its positions, while the South African Defence Force said it could not provide a timetable.
