- La Resolució 546 del Consell de Seguretat de les Nacions Unides, aprovada el 6 de gener de 1984 després d'escoltar la representació de la República Popular d'Angola, el Consell va recordar les resolucions 387 (1976), 428 (1978), 447 (1979), 454 (1979), 475 (1980) i 545 (1983) i condemnà Sud-àfrica per les seves incursions contínues a través de l'ocupada Àfrica del Sud-Oest en violació directa de les resolucions anteriors. El Consell va exigir Sud-àfrica respectar la integritat territorial d'Angola, prenent nota que Angola té dret a la legítima defensa i a la compensació dels atacs. També fa una crida a Sud-àfrica perquè cessi l'ocupació del sud d'Angola i retiri les seves tropes. La resolució insta els estats membres a donar suport econòmic a Angola, així com fer complir la Resolució 418 (1977) sobre l'embargament d'armes contra Sud-àfrica. També va demanar al secretari general que faci un seguiment de la situació i n'informi al Consell si ho considera oportú. La Resolució del Consell 447 va ser adoptada per 13 vots a favor i cap en contra; els Estats Units i el Regne Unit es van abstenir. (ca)
- قرار مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة رقم 546، المعتمد في 6 كانون الثاني / يناير 1984، بعد الاستماع إلى مذكرات من جمهورية أنغولا الشعبية، أشار المجلس إلى القرارات 387 (1976)، 428 (1978)، 447 (1979)، 454 (1979)، 475 (1980) و545 (1983)، وأعرب عن قلقه إزاء استمرار الهجمات على البلاد من قبل جنوب أفريقيا من خلال جنوب غرب أفريقيا المحتلة. وطالب المجلس جنوب أفريقيا بوقف الهجمات واحترام سيادة أنغولا وسلامتها الإقليمية، مشيراً إلى أن أنغولا لها حق الدفاع عن النفس والتعويض عن الهجمات. كما دعت جنوب أفريقيا إلى وقف احتلال جنوب أنغولا وسحب قواتها. وحث القرار الدول الأعضاء على تقديم المساعدة الاقتصادية لأنغولا، وكذلك إنفاذ القرار 418 (1977) بشأن حظر الأسلحة المفروض على جنوب أفريقيا. كما طلب من الأمين العام أن يواصل رصد الوضع وتقديم تقرير إلى المجلس حسب الاقتضاء. تمت الموافقة على القرار بأغلبية 13 صوتًا، بينما امتنعت المملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة عن التصويت. Usai menyimak para perwakilan dari Republik Rakyat Angola, DKPBB mengulang kembali resolusi-resolusi 387 (1976), 447 (1979), 454 (1979), 475 (1980), dan 545 (1983), menyatakan perhatian dan mengecam serangan berkelanjutan terhadap negara tersebut oleh Afrika Selatan melalui Afrika Barat Daya. - United Nations Security Council resolution 546, adopted on 6 January 1984, after hearing representations from the People's Republic of Angola, the council recalled resolutions 387 (1976), 428 (1978), 447 (1979), 454 (1979), 475 (1980) and 545 (1983), and expressed its concern at the continuing attacks on the country by South Africa through occupied South West Africa. The Council demanded South Africa cease the attacks and respect Angola's sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting that Angola is entitled to the right of self-defense and to compensation for the attacks. It also called upon South Africa to cease the occupation of southern Angola and withdraw its forces. The resolution urged Member States to provide economic assistance to Angola, as well as enforce Resolution 418 (1977) on the arms embargo against South Africa. It also requested the Secretary-General continue to monitor the situation and report back to the council as appropriate. The resolution was approved by 13 votes to none against, while the United Kingdom and United States abstained from voting. (en)
