- Το Πρόγραμμα της Θεσσαλονίκης ήταν ένα μανιφέστο που υιοθετήθηκε από τον Συνασπισμό Ριζοσπαστικής Αριστεράς (ΣΥΡΙΖΑ) και παρουσιάστηκε από τον πρόεδρό του Αλέξη Τσίπρα στη Διεθνή Έκθεση Θεσσαλονίκης στις 13 Σεπτεμβρίου 2014, το οποίο πρότεινε ένα σύνολο πολιτικών που αποσκοπούσαν στην αντιστροφή των μέτρων λιτότητας και την παράλληλη διατήρηση . Στις αρχές του 2015, ο Αλέξης Τσίπρας, δήλωσε ότι το πρόγραμμα είναι «μη διαπραγματεύσιμο». Μετά τη νίκη του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ στις εκλογές του Ιανουαρίου 2015, ο Τσίπρας έγινε Πρωθυπουργός της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας και δημιούργησε κυβέρνηση συνεργασίας με το δεξιό αντιμνημονιακό κόμμα των Ανεξαρτήτων Ελλήνων με στόχο την άμεση υλοποίηση του προγράμματος. Σύμφωνα με επίσημη ανακοίνωση του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ, «η νέα κυβέρνηση θα εφαρμόσει το Πρόγραμμα της Θεσσαλονίκης, ώστε να τερματιστεί η ανθρωπιστική κρίση». Στις 13 Ιουλίου 2015, η Ελληνική κυβέρνηση και οι δανειστές κατέληξαν σε συμφωνία, υπό την οποία η κυβέρνηση έπρεπε να εφαρμόσει σκληρά μέτρα λιτότητας, πράγμα που κατέστησε πρακτικά αδύνατη την εφαρμογή των μέτρων που προβλέπονταν στο Πρόγραμμα της Θεσσαλονίκης. - The Thessaloniki Programme is a manifesto adopted by the Greek Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA), first presented by party leader Alexis Tsipras at the Thessaloniki International Fair on 13 September 2014, proposing a set of policies oriented towards reversing austerity measures while maintaining a balanced budget. At the start of 2015, while still Leader of the Opposition, Tsipras stated that the programme is "not negotiable". After Syriza won a plurality in legislative elections held on 25 January 2015, Tsipras became Prime Minister of Greece and brokered a coalition with the right-wing anti-austerity Independent Greeks with the shared goal of immediate realisation of the programme. An official Syriza statement promised that the "new government will implement the Thessaloniki program to end the humanitarian crisis". On 13 July 2015, the Greek government and the European creditors reached an agreement under which the government had to implement harsh austerity measures, which effectively made the major economic measures proposed by the Thessaloniki programme virtually impossible to implement.
