His Gothic architecture design for the Blessed Virgin Mother Catholic Church on West Howard Avenue in Biloxi Mississippi was constructed after the original church was destroyed by the of November 1900 on the same site. In early 1906, stained glass windows were donated by Julia Dulion Lopez (1857-1918) in memory of her late husband. Frederick Thornley of New York was employed to install the windows designed and built by Reis and Reis of Munich, Germany. Brune died in New Orleans on March 8, 1932 at 1303 3rd Street.
