- صورة الطفلة الجائعة والنسر الذي يتنظر موتها لياكلها (بالإنجليزية: Vulture Stalking a Child) هي صورة أصبحت عام 1994 صورة ايقونية التقطها المصور كيفين كارتر عام 1993 خلال المجاعة في السودان في قرية «أيود» حيث سمع صوتا ضعيفا لأنين طفلة صغيرة هزيلة، كانت قد توقفت عن الزحف لوقت قصير وهي في طريقها إلى مركز لتوزيع الطعام. وعندما كان يتحضر لالتقاط الصورة لها، حط نسر بقربها، وبعد أن التقط الصورة قام بطرد النسر بعيداً، وشاهد الطفلة تستكمل زحفها نحو المركز دون ان يساعدها. قال كارتر بأنه إلتقط الصورة، لأن عمله هو «التقاط الصور» فقط ومن ثم المغادرة. تم إخبار كارتر مسبقاً بعدم لمس الأطفال وذلك بسبب الأمراض المعدية. نالت الصورة عام 1994 إحدى جوائز بولتزر (ar)

En la imagen se ve a un frágil niño afectado por la hambruna, que inicialmente se creyó se trataba de una niña, desmayado en primer plano con un buitre mirándolo desde cerca. Según los informes, el niño intentaba llegar a un centro de alimentación de las Naciones Unidas aproximadamente a media milla de distancia en Ayod, Sudán (ahora Sudán del Sur), en marzo de 1993. La imagen ganó el Premio Pulitzer como fotografía de largometraje en 1994. Carter se suicidó cuatro meses después de ganar el premio. (es)

It is a photograph of a frail famine-stricken boy, initially believed to be a girl, who had collapsed in the foreground with a hooded vulture eyeing him from nearby. The child was reported to be attempting to reach a United Nations feeding center about a half mile away in Ayod, Sudan (now South Sudan), in March 1993, and to have survived the incident. The picture won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography award in 1994. Carter took his own life four months after winning the prize. This image has also been the subject of many criticisms for being a pornography of poverty. (en)
