- The Rockers, conocidos al principio como The Midnight Rockers, fue un Stable Face de Lucha Libre Profesional. El grupo lo conformaban los luchadores Shawn Michaels y Marty Jannetty, y tuvo vigencia desde 1985 hasta 1992. El equipo trabajó en diversas promociones de lucha libre, tales como Central States Wrestling, American Wrestling Association, Continental Wrestling Federation, Continental Wrestling Association y la World Wrestling Federation. En 1992 el equipo sufrió una violenta separación (Kayfabe) ayudando al talento individual de Shawn Michaels con su Gimmick como el "Heartbreak Kid" ("Chico Rompe-corazones") el cual utilizó hasta su retiro en 2010. Luego de la separación entre Michaels y Jannetty, ambos se reunieron de nuevo, pero una vez más el equipo se disolvió y Jannetty sufrió la salida de la WWF una vez más. En 1996, Jannetty hizo equipo con Leif Cassidy (luego conocido como Al Snow) para formar The New Rockers, pero el equipo no fue muy acertivo y se disolvió ese mismo año. En 2005, The Rockers se reunieron por solo una noche, pero no lo volvieron a hacer por la salida de Jannetty en la WWE. The team worked for NWA Central States Wrestling, the American Wrestling Association, Continental Wrestling Federation, Continental Wrestling Association and the World Wrestling Federation. In 1992, the team had a violent kayfabe breakup that helped propel Michaels into the singles ranks with "The Heartbreak Kid" gimmick that he used until his retirement in 2010. After the breakup Michaels and Jannetty had an on again, off again feud due to Jannetty leaving the WWF on more than one occasion. In 1996, Jannetty teamed up with Leif Cassidy (later to be known as Al Snow) to form The New Rockers, but the team never achieved much success in the WWF and ended later that same year. In 2005, The Rockers reunited for one night, but nothing more came of it because Jannetty was released by WWE. In 2006, Jannetty was slated to return and work an extended angle, teaming with Michaels against Mr. McMahon and Shane McMahon, but only made two televised appearances before being released from his contract again. Instead, WWE reformed Michaels' other team, D-Generation X, to fill the storyline. (en)

The Rockers waren actief van 1985 tot 1992 en verwierven vanaf 1988 een grote bekendheid in World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Michaels en Jannetty veroverden in 1990 een keer het WWF Tag Team Championship, maar hun zege werd nooit geverifieerd. Beiden waren toen jonge twintigers en werden enorm populair door hun energieke worstelstijl. Michaels en Jannetty droegen kleurrijke outfits en speelden de rol van dandy.
